OneVoice27 for a Waiting World
The Great Commission is not merely the final instruction of Jesus—it’s the enduring mission of His church. Before ascending to heaven, Christ entrusted His followers with a task that would extend across every nation, culture, language, and generation—to make disciples of all people. More than 2,000 years later, that mission remains as urgent as ever.

“Therefore, go and make disciples of all nations, baptising them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age,” Matthew 28:19–20.
Today, there are approximately 3.40 billion people in the world who do not know Jesus. Many have never heard a clear presentation of the gospel. Some live in regions where Christian witness is limited. Others live in highly connected societies yet remain spiritually disconnected from God. While the challenge is immense, God has placed in our hands unprecedented opportunities to reach them. We have many opportunities before us within the territories of the South Pacific.
Never in human history has a single message been able to travel across the globe in seconds. Through social media, a testimony recorded in Sydney can be viewed in the Solomon Islands, Vanuatu, Papua New Guinea, Tonga, Tuvalu, Cook Islands, or Fiji within moments. A Bible verse, a short video, a personal story of faith, or an invitation to study Scripture can reach people who may never enter a church building. What previous generations could only dream of—God has made possible in our time.
This is one of the reasons OneVoice27 is so significant. Its vision is to mobilise God's people to use their voices, gifts, creativity, and digital platforms to share the everlasting gospel. The goal is not simply to create content, but to create connections—introducing people to Jesus and helping them take their next step toward Him.
The command of Jesus begins with a simple word, “Go.” In the first century, going often meant travelling by foot, boat, or caravan. Today, going may also mean posting, sharing, filming, writing, commenting, encouraging, and engaging online with purpose and intentionality. Social media is not the mission—but is a powerful tool for accomplishing the mission. Recent studies indicate that internet users worldwide spend an average of 14 billion hours on social media each day.
Every follower of Jesus has a voice. Some have large audiences; others have only a few followers. Yet throughout Scripture, God has never measured success by numbers. He measures faithfulness. A single post shared in faith may be the very message God uses to reach a searching heart. A simple testimony may become the catalyst for someone's spiritual journey.
Most importantly, the Great Commission ends with a promise, “Surely I am with you always.” We are not called to reach 3.40 billion people through our own strength, creativity, or influence. Jesus Himself goes before us. The Holy Spirit opens hearts, guides conversations, and transforms lives. Our responsibility is to be willing and available.
As we move toward 2027, may we embrace the challenge and opportunity before us. Let us pray, create, share, and serve with intentionality. Let’s use every digital platform God has entrusted to us for His glory. And as Seventh-day Adventist’s, let us unite as OneVoice, proclaiming one message of hope to a world desperately in need of Jesus.
The mission is clear. The tools are available. The harvest is ready. The question is simple, Will we use our voices to help someone discover His?
Reflection Questions
1. What does Jesus' command to “go and make disciples” look like in my daily life, both online and offline?
2. How might God be calling me to use my social media platforms to share hope, encouragement, and the gospel?
3. What fears, excuses, or barriers have prevented me from sharing my faith more intentionally?
4. Who is one person in my sphere of influence that I can pray for and engage with spiritually this week?
5. If every Adventist Christian used their digital voice for Christ—what impact would that have on reaching the 3.40 billion people who do not yet know Jesus?
