A House Ready to Welcome Devotional
Everything in OneVoice27 leads to one defining purpose: to help people encounter Jesus and become part of His Church.

Everything in OneVoice27 leads to one defining purpose: to help people encounter Jesus and become part of His Church.
It’s easy to become captivated by the possibilities before us. Through media, a message about Jesus can cross borders, enter homes, appear on a phone screen, and reach someone we may never meet. A video can awaken curiosity. A conversation can create trust. A Bible study invitation can open the Scriptures. But these moments are not the destination. They are doorways.
Jesus said, “Go out to the roads and country lanes and compel them to come in, so that my house will be full,” (Luke 14:23).
There is something beautiful in those words: “My house.” Jesus does not simply invite people to hear about Him; He invites them home. He calls people into a community where they can belong, worship, grow, serve, and become disciples who make disciples. He invites people into a loving community. A loving church.
This is why the local church is essential to OneVoice27.
Media may introduce someone to Jesus, but people need relationships. They need someone who remembers their name, sits beside them, opens the Bible with them, prays with them, and walks with them as they discover what following Jesus means.
As we prepare for September 2027, our question must therefore be more than, “How many people can we reach?” We must also ask, “Are we ready to receive them?”
Our evangelistic campaigns, Bible studies, health ministries, small groups, Sabbath School, community outreach, Vacation Bible Schools, camps, and digital initiatives should create pathways that lead people toward Jesus and into His Church.
Perhaps God is already drawing someone in your community to Himself. Perhaps they are searching, watching, wondering, or praying. OneVoice27 invites us to prepare for them now—with open doors, intentional pathways, and welcoming hearts.
May September 2027 result in more than millions hearing the gospel. May it result in people encountering Jesus, finding a church family, and becoming lifelong disciples.
Prayer:
Jesus, prepare us to welcome the people You are drawing to Yourself. Give us open hearts, open churches, and the courage to invite people into relationship with You and Your family. Make us disciples who lovingly make disciples, until Your house is full. Amen.
