If My People Who Are Called…
Before we can effectively proclaim the everlasting gospel, we must first allow the gospel to transform us. Before we speak to the world about Jesus, our lives must increasingly reflect the character of the One we follow.

At the heart of the OneVoice27 initiative is a simple yet life-changing invitation: to become more like Jesus.
Before we can effectively proclaim the everlasting gospel, we must first allow the gospel to transform us. Before we speak to the world about Jesus, our lives must increasingly reflect the character of the One we follow.
Jesus is not only our Saviour—He is our example.
His life shows us what it means to pray with complete dependence on the Father, serve with compassion, share the good news with courage, make disciples with intentionality, and live generously for the sake of others.
Beginning with our Weekend of Prayer, 4–6 September 2026, we invite every Seventh-day Adventist congregation, family, small group and individual across the South Pacific to embark on a shared journey of spiritual renewal and mission.
OneVoice27 carries a bold vision: To call people everywhere to rediscover the life and teachings of Jesus and proclaim His gospel through personal witness and every available communication platform, culminating in a united global harvest on 25 September 2027.
But such a vision cannot be accomplished through human effort alone.
We need the Holy Spirit.
We need revival.
We need Jesus.
We need to pray.
And revival begins when God's people humble themselves and seek His face.
Throughout this journey over the next few years—we will explore what it means to Pray Like Jesus, Serve Like Jesus, Share Jesus, Follow Jesus and Give Like Jesus—inviting the Holy Spirit to transform not only what we do, but who we are.
This is more than a program. It is a call to revival and mission.
We are not simply asking God to give us a message for the world; we are asking Him to make us faithful messengers.
We are not asking only for others to encounter Jesus; we are asking for a fresh encounter with Jesus ourselves.
Many years ago, I read a Bible verse that has had a profound impact on my prayer life and ministry. It continues to remind me that spiritual renewal begins not somewhere else, with someone else—but with God's people seeking Him:
“If my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and I will forgive their sin and will heal their land,” (2 Chronicles 7:14).
What might happen if we truly took that invitation seriously?
What might God do across the South Pacific if thousands of His people humbled themselves, prayed earnestly, sought His face and surrendered their lives daily to Him?
Imagine churches alive with prayer.
Families serving their communities with compassion.
Young and old courageously sharing their faith.
Disciples making disciples.
Congregations known for generosity, hope and love.
Imagine what could happen if, across the Pacific, people did not simply hear about Jesus—but saw Jesus reflected in us.
Through deeper prayer, practical acts of love, intentional gospel witness, authentic discipleship and Spirit-led generosity, we believe God can prepare His church and our communities for Christ's soon return.
As one church across the Pacific, united in OneVoice, by one mission and empowered by one Spirit, let’s answer this invitation together.
Let’s become more like Jesus.
May our families see Jesus in us.
May our neighbourhoods experience His compassion through us.
May our cities and nations hear His good news from us.
And may everything we do point people to His hope, His love and His saving grace.
The invitation begins with each of us—before we ask how we can tell the world about Jesus, we must ask how Jesus wants to transform us.
Questions for Reflection and Group Discussion
1. What would becoming more like Jesus look like in my life right now?
2. What can I learn from the prayer life of Jesus that could deepen my own relationship with God?
3. Who in my family, church or community is God inviting me to serve, encourage or share Jesus with?
4. What might need to change in my life for the Holy Spirit to use me more fully in God's mission?
5. If our entire church committed to praying, serving, sharing, following and giving like Jesus, what difference could God make through us in our community?
Yours—because of Jesus
