Becoming More Like Jesus

At the heart of the OneVoice27 initiative is a simple but life-changing invitation: to rediscover the life of Jesus—to become more like Him. Before we can effectively proclaim the everlasting gospel, we must first reflect the character of the One we follow.

Jesus is not only our Saviour—He is our example. His life reveals what it means to pray with dependence on the Father, serve with compassion, share the good news with courage, and make disciples who faithfully follow Him.

Beginning with our Weekend of Prayer (4–6 September 2026), we invite every Seventh-day Adventist congregation, family, small group, and individual across the South Pacific to embark on a shared journey of spiritual renewal.

Together we will learn to Pray Like Jesus, Serve Like Jesus, Share Jesus, and Follow Jesus, allowing the Holy Spirit to transform both our hearts and our communities.

This journey is more than a program—it is a movement of revival and mission.

Through deeper prayer, practical acts of love, intentional gospel witness, and authentic discipleship, we believe God will prepare His church for Christ's soon return.

As one church across the Pacific, united by one mission and empowered by one Spirit, let us become a living reflection of Jesus so that our families, neighbourhoods, cities, and nations may experience His hope, His love, and His saving grace.

Spiritual Renewal

For Individuals
1. Daily Devotional Time: Scripture reading and intentional prayer

2. Read/Listen: To the four gospels and the Desire of Ages

3. Prayer Journaling: Writing prayers and tracking your journey

4. Prayer Walks: Praying through neighbourhoods, workplaces, or schools

5. Praying Scripture: Turning passages (Psalms, Gospel) into personal prayers

Pray Like Jesus
Spiritual Renewal

For Congregations
1. Weekly Prayer Gatherings: To study the Gospels and the Desire of Ages

2. Seasonal Prayer Emphasis: 10 or 40 days of prayer, revival weeks

3. Prayer Partners: Small groups focused specifically for prayer

4. Day or Night Prayer: An extended period for prayer

5. Church-Wide Prayer Lists: Organised, updated needs shared regularly

Serve Like Jesus
Compassion and Healing

For Individuals
1. Intentional Acts of Kindness: Helping neighbours, coworkers and strangers
2. Volunteering Locally: Foodbanks, Homeless Shelters, 

3. Hospital Member Visits: Offering presence and encouragement

4. Using Personal Skills: Fixing things, tutoring, mentoring,

5: Responding to Holy Interruptions: Being open to divine appointments

1. Personally Connect: Reach out to a church member who hasn’t attended recently

2. Spiritual Conversations: Share your story and ask questions in faith

3. Invite others: To church, small groups, or events

4. Digital Witness: Thoughtful, authentic faith presence on social media

5. Connecting people with life-changing resources: Books on Jesus

Proclamation and Reclamation

For Congregations
1. Online and Evangelistic Meetings: Tell the story of Jesus, salvation and of His soon return

2. Coordinated Literature Distribution: Share a book about Jesus

3. Missional Groups: Organise home based Bible study groups

4. Community Events: Concerts and programs at Easter, Christmas, Father’s Day, Mother’s Day.

5. Intentional Invitations: To inactive members and interested community friends

Give Like Jesus
Living a Life of Generosity

For Individuals

1. Put God First: Give God your first and best in time, talents and finances.
2. Live Simply: Choose contentment over unnecessary consumption.
3. Give Generously: Share talents, money, time and possessions with others.
4. Support Mission: Invest intentionally in the local and global mission of the Church.
5. Leave a Legacy: Include God's work in your long-term financial planning.

For Congregations

1. Teach Biblical Stewardship: Regularly preach and train on faithful living.
2. Model Transparency: Clearly report how tithe and offerings advance mission.
3. Create Generosity Opportunities: Support local, regional and global mission projects.
4. Care for People in Need: Provide practical hope and healing for community members.
5. Celebrate God's Faithfulness: Share testimonies of generosity and transformed lives.
